Runs from January 29-February 4, 2012, 35.87 Miles

January 30, 2012

5.3 Miles
54:15 Time
10:14 Pace

A lifelong (or half lifelong runner, he started early teens and is now mid 20s) urged me to take a break from running, maybe 1-2 weeks and then try to get back into it. I told him I wanted do the Valentines Day race and then I'd take some time off. He    also said I should read Spark by John Rate, MD, about exercise and your brain.

8.2 Miles

10:00 Pace

On Facebook someone wrote to me "Hey Aron, How's it going? I haven't seen you in forever (unless you count when I drive by while you are running!)"... I guess everyone sees me running, I hope I don't look too bad.  One of my better times for this route, but I still think I will take a week or so off next week.

February 2, 2012

8.2 Miles
1:17:16 Time
9:25 Pace

Woohoo, why can't I run this well more often?  My fastest pace for a run 8-8.99 miles by 30 seconds.  I have only been able to say that (for any distance) 3 times in like the last 5 months.

February 3, 2012

2.66 Miles
23:45 Time
8:56 Pace

My short route but I wasn't trying to push it.

February 4, 2012

11.51 Miles
2:11:33 Time
11:26 Pace

Not as bad as I thought it would be.  I haven't done many long runs since NYC and when I hit the hill at mile 5, I did a lot of walking (12:33 pace), though I was able to speed up.  Stopped at two convenience stores (water/Gatorade and is included in the time) and used a gel and a Gatorade prime for fuel.  Second highest weekly mileage since October.
